Learn About Civil Rights and Win an iPod

In celebration of Black History Month, the library has a new display of books and DVD's about civil rights. The display touches on civil rights for African Americans, workers, immigrants and GLBT's.

Accompanying the display is a contest, which allows students to demonstrate their knowledge and research skills by identifying historically important African Americans depicted in a poster displayed near the exhibit. The student identifying the most figures will win an iPod shuffle. If there is a tie, the winners will be ranked by a lottery. All names must be legible. Please include your name and contact information . To be counted, entries must be received by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Winners will be notified by 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 24. The contest is only open to Dominican Students.

2nd Prize, $20 Amazon Gift Certificate
3rd Prize, $10 Amazon Gift Certificate

Entries should be turned in to the circulation desk. Numbered sheets for answers are available you can make your own answer key.
