Google, our benevolent overlord has done it again with Google Art Project.
From the home page either choose a museum to explore or an individual work of art. You can walk around the galleries and explore or you can choose a piece of art to zoom in on with amazing detail. Each piece of art is annotated with information about the piece and the artist.
