Abraham Verghese at the launch of One Book, One Marin. He is such an inspiring speaker and the story he weaves in his book Cutting for Stone is memorable and well-written. As he tells his audience, of which there were many in attendance, writing is his extra curricular work. He loves his day job--being a doctor, which is quite evident in his story. Unforgettable!
