Online Databases: ARTstor Mobile Formally Launches (Beta Ends), Now Live For iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch Users: "ARTstor formally released a mobile version of their digital library yesterday. It's available for iPad, iPhone, and the iPod Touch users.
ARTstor Mobile provides access to the complete database of more than 1,000,000 images. A beta version of ARTstor mobile had been online for a couple of months.
The mobile version provides "read only" access to the library. That includes:
+ Searching
+ Browsing
+ Zooming
+ Viewing Saved Image Groups
Also available is "Flash Card View" (also part of the beta) that, "allows you to test [their] knowledge by viewing the image without textual information, and then flipping the image to reveal the image record."
Head to http://library.artstor.org on your mobile device and using Safari (iPhone/Pad/Touch ONLY) and you'll automatically be redirected to the mobile site at http://mobile.artstor.org.
